Visitors flock to the historic neighborhood year after year to visit the Artist Market, enjoy the Children’s Art Alley, see the famous Painted Pots and partake of historic sites and nearby dining.
The Chalk Spot, a street chalk art competition for children in kindergarten through 12th grade, is scheduled for Saturday during the festival.
Participants will have the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind designs in 3-square-feet spaces. The art will remain on display throughout the festival (weather permitting).
Proceeds will benefit the Marietta High School Art Club. Susan Pritchard, Art Club Advisor is “very excited about the opportunity for the club members to help produce the competition and is equally excited for the additional funds, which will be used for art show prize money.”
