Do the critics of the Cobb Commission Chair Tim Lee really believe that he is undermining the BoC and his constituents by seeking expert advice? Just how knowledgeable are these protestors on the complexities of government? Even some of our elected officials seem to be focusing on issues that should be resolved internally. Are there hidden agendas amongst all this angst?
It is the norm that others in public service hire outside consultants to help them in the decision-making process. Yet, when Tim asks for opinions from a professional without an offer of a contract for hire or exchange for monetary compensation, the malcontents use misinformation or lack thereof to question his integrity.
Whether you agree with his methodology or not, Lee has taken the initiative on projects that are destined to benefit the citizens of Cobb. As a follower of his political leadership and service, I am weary of these unfounded personal and professional attacks on his character.
