Kell junior linebacker Bryson Armstrong played with a nagging undisclosed injury, but found a way to contribute in all three phases of the game in the Longhorns’ 20-7 win over Carrollton on Saturday.

His solid play started when he recovered the ball in the end zone for Kell’s first score. He also had 108 yards receiving. He caught nine passes and seven were for first downs.

Position: Linebacker

Year: Junior

Strengths: A physical player

Working on: His speed.

What he loves about his sport: Putting on the pads, seeing my teammates, hitting people

His favorite football memory: When I was 9 and playing for the Blackwell Bears, a teammate fumbled, I picked it up and ran it back for a touchdown to win the game.

Another sport he’d enjoy: Basketball

Favorite thing to drink: Water and Gatorade, sweet tea

The furthest you’ve been away from home: Mexico

Favorite celebrity athlete: Tim Tebow

Favorite Movie: Friday Night Lights

Not many know that: He occasionally wears his football gloves when he sleeps.
