The Youth Museum, 649 Cheatham Hill Drive in Marietta, will have its 12th Annual BBQ and Silent Auction celebrating 44 years of serving students in Cobb County and the metro area from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 6.

The event will feature BBQ provided by Sam Huff’s BBQ-1, live music by Old Mill Road Band, tours of the museum’s current exhibit — “America’s Pathways to Independence,” and a silent auction. Sam Heaton, director of Cobb County Department of Public Safety, will be the emcee. Tickets are $30 adults and $15 children under 12.
