The Lady Hoyas (6-1, 3-0) remained undefeated in the region after scoring their lone run off two Lady Hawks errors in the sixth.
Lauren Kessler reached first on an outfield error to lead the frame. Brooke Taylor advanced Kessler with a sacrifice bunt before Emily Fitchjarrell reached on an error that plated Kessler with the game’s lone run.
Brooke Etheridge’s catch against the outfield wall in the top of the seventh preserved the win.
Lindley Bruce, Kessler and Hope Etheridge had Harrison’s only hits.
Emily Kachel (4-0) gave up four hits and struck out eight to claim the complete-game victory.
Kathryn Jackson was 2-for-3 for the Lady Hawks. Mo Bastion doubled and Michelle Forrester had a single.
Harrison will host Colquitt County, South Paudling and Cartersville on Friday and Saturday as part of the Buccaneer Bash, while Hillgrove will face Lowndes, Roswell, Sonoraville, Jackson County and Fannin County as part of the event.
Sprayberry 8, North Atlanta 0 (5 inn.): Sprayberry batted through the order during a four-run third inning, as the Lady Yellow Jackets won a Region 7AAAAA home game and remained undefeated on the season.
Sprayberry (5-0, 4-0) scored once in the first and second innings, and twice in the fourth.
Jennifer Gentile batted 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Charlie Smith (4-0) gave up four hits and struck out two for the complete-game win.
Sprayberry will be at South Cobb on Monday.
South Cobb 10, Marietta 1 (5 inn.): South Cobb remained undefeated on the season with the non-region home win.
The Lady Eagles (6-0) scored once in the first and third innings, but they produced four runs in the second and fourth.
Emily Cargle batted 2-for-3, while Asia Moore was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Terilyn Harris was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Dezirae Rhodes (2-0) allowed one earned run in the fifth off six hits and struck out three for the win.
K.C. Nugent had a home run in the fifth for Marietta.
South Cobb will play Miller Grove on Saturday at Stephenson.
Allatoona 12, Hiram 3 (6 inn.): Nineteen hits were more than enough as the Lady Buccaneers remained unbeaten in Region 5AAAAAA play.
Madison Halyard went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI, while Baily Crawford was 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Casey Lamb and Madison Kazarooni each had two hits and a pair of RBIs of their own.
Makenzie Colwart (3-4) pitched an abbreviated complete game, striking out five and walking one.
Allatoona (4-4, 4-0) will host its Buccaneer Bash on Saturday, with 34 teams spread across 10 different fields. The Lady Buccaneers will host Coffee, Milton and Union Grove.
Kell 13, North Springs 5 (6 inn.): The Lady Longhorns scored at least once in every inning before bringing the mercy rule into effect.
Kell (2-2, 2-2 Region 7AAAAA) had 13 hits on the day, led by three apiece from Abby Glass and Sierra Shipley. Shipley also had two doubles and three RBIs, while Glass had two RBIs.
Taylor Colclasure and Natalie Parlato each batted 2-for-5.
Lanie Angel struck out five and walked none in a complete game for Kell, which will host North Atlanta on Monday.
Walker sweeps Class AAAAAA foes: Continuing a string of opponents from higher classifications, the Lady Wolverines beat Kennesaw Mountain (26-24, 25-14) and Marietta (25-12, 25-13).
Brooke Warner finished the night with 21 kills, 10 digs and eight aces, while Sasha Fazylov had 16 kills. Holland Martin and Emma Graham each had 12 digs, and the setting duo of Erin Leavell and Haley Timbrook combined for 35 assists.
Walker (4-1) will host Lassiter and Pope on Tuesday.
Kennesaw Mountain salvages split: After losing to Walker (26-24, 25-14), the Lady Mustangs rebounded with a 25-14, 25-11 win over Marietta.
Lizzie Born led Kennesaw Mountain with 14 kills, while Lindsey Nation had seven. Kaileigh Nance and Allie Dreyer combined for 26 assists, while Megan Dreyer had 10 digs.
McEachern 3, Wheeler 0: McEachern won the non-area match 25-15, 25-22, 25-5.
Savanna Hockman had eight kills and two aces for the Lady Indians (4-3). Jordae Taylor had nine kills and six blocks, while Zee Bridges had six blocks.
McEachern will be back in action again for the county tournament Aug. 30 at Marietta.
