Cornerstone Preparatory Academy in Acworth began its 2014-15 school year with families and staff making lunches for the MUST Summer Lunch Program. “This is a wonderful way to begin our school year,” said Head of School Jeanne Borders, “and we were happy to host this event again.
Outreach and service are part of our DNA here at Cornerstone.”
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade, new families to Cornerstone and those who have been at the school for years, plus the teaching staff, all joined together to make the event a success. With so many helping hands, 300 lunches were made in less than half an hour.
“While we do this to help our community, this is also a great way for new students and staff to meet one another,” said director of communications and marketing, Jeanine Marlow.
