Austell rep-elect should think before she speaks

DEAR EDITOR:

It looks like the Democrats of Austell’s District 39 have given the Georgia Legislature a competitor for the Pelosi-Obama-Reed “Shoot Off Your Mouth Before You Think” trophy! Georgia State Rep.-(elect) Erica Thomas has announced her return from a weekend of helping Al Sharpton and his “National Action Network” help keep the peace in Ferguson, Mo. I, of course, would have no reason to think she was there for any reason other than to keep the peace and see that justice was done. As she has stated (concerning Officer Darren Wilson), “I want him arrested and to be put on trial just like anyone else that would have shot someone six times.”

Unless the “Reverend Al” has blessed her with some extracognitive / deductive skills that the rest of us mere mortals don’t possess, which allow her to keenly ... and impartially ... assess the situation in Ferguson, let’s be grateful she’s not a prosecutor or we might have a mass exodus from police departments in Cobb County!

What a shame that we seem to have yet another poorly informed, shoot from the hip kind of rep! Just what we don't need. This does not serve the constituency well.
