Mr. Otto Walter Meier, 79, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on August 15, 2014. Mr. Meier was born on September 22, 1934 in Switzerland the son of the late Otto Meier and Emma Boeckli Meier. He graduated Culinary School in Zurich Switzerland and became a world renowned Classical French Chef. He was a Veteran of The Swiss Military and Founder of Horsetown over forty years ago. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rosemarie Brescianini Meier of Marietta; three children, Karen Meier Pollard and husband, Kevin  of Newborn, GA, son, Thomy Meier of Canton, GA and son, Terry Meier of Kennesaw, GA; one grandchild, Keegan Pollard; niece, Sandra Scarborough and family; life-long friends, Don Stevens, Waymon Anderson and Steve Ruiz. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 4 pm. with Memorial Services following at 5 pm from the Chapel at First Baptist Church of Woodstock., 11905 Georgia 92, Woodstock, GA  30188. Reverend Warren Adams will officiate, Mr. Don Stevens, Mr. Milton Beal, Mr. Kevin Pollard, Mrs. Jane Warner and Mr. Steve Ruiz will be speaking.  A reception will follow services in the Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make Tribute Gifts to Emory Midtown – Cardiac Research.  Make checks payable to Emory and mail to Emory Office of Gift Records, 1762 Clifton Rd.
