Joan M. Esposito, 81, of Acworth, GA, passed away on August 16, 2014 peacefully at Wellstar Tranquility in Acworth, GA. Joan Esposito was born May 31, 1933 to a loving family of three children in Neptune, NJ to James and Catherine Martenhoff who both preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years Vincent C. Esposito. She is also survived by twin sister, Patricia, and older sister Mary Lou. Joan enjoyed life and was a devoted mother and grandmother.   When she was young she was passionate about the ocean and was an accomplished swimmer.  She loved to travel with her husband, especially visiting her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed participating in bingo, going to the movies, and working with ceramics and art.  Joan had a keen sense of humor and a wonderful heart.  She will be sorely missed by all that were blessed by her radiant smile. Joan was a dedicated and supportive mother of three children. She is survived by Vincent James Esposito of Boston, MA, Michael Thomas Esposito of Kennesaw, Georgia and Cathy Gennaro of Oak Ridge, North Carolina. Joan is survived by 8 grandchildren (Christina, Elizabeth, Amanda, Adelae, Winston, Carlotta, Olivia, and Nicholas). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, 10:30 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1618 Ben King Rd., Kennesaw, GA, 30144. The family would like to express their thanks for every expression of sympathy and condolence at this time of loss.
