Time to cut school tofu shakes, too?

DEAR EDITOR:

Letter-writer Carol Jacobson’ s progressive rant in Sunday’s MDJ (“Cobb, Marietta boards wrong to fight school snack law”) reeks of illogic and Big Government.

Likening eating a donut to wearing seat belts and using car seats is, frankly, laughable. Whereas the auto safety additions are laws designed to help keep people from getting hurt or killed by other drivers, snack restrictions take away freedom in exchange for liberal control. Who says Mrs. Obama and her cronies can tell Americans what their children can and cannot eat?

I would give my grandkids’ a Friday donut over progressive arugula and dried seaweed any day.

Ms. Jacobson, what if she “ruled” that your tofu shakes must be eliminated?

Kim, I bet your grand-kids are fat and have high blood pressure. What a fine example.

@Too funny: And I'll bet you don't have a clue about her grandchildren.

And I further bet you have an agenda in this matter that is not connected to nutrition or the welfare of the kids of Cobb County.
