The Southern Order of Storytellers Cobb County will present their second annual storytelling workshop for youth and adults from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 30 at the Switzer Library, 266 Roswell St. in Marietta. Light refreshments will be served.

The free workshop is for those who always wanted to learn to tell stories. Participants should choose their subject or story and prepare to be a storyteller. There will be sessions for adults, as well as youth from Pre-K to teens.

SOS is a group of storytellers and listeners whose goal is to bring storytelling to wider audiences and help make storytelling once again an integral part of culture and entertainment in Georgia and the Southeast.

To RSVP contact Glora Stowers at (678) 293-5285 or the Switzer Library at (770) 528-2320.
