A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in an estimated 70 gallons discharged into a storm ditch that contributes to Proctor Creek, occurred at 12:31 p.m. on Aug. 14, at 3110 Moon Station Road in Kennesaw.

The overflow was stopped at 1:45 p.m.

Water system workers unstopped the 8-inch PVC sewer mainline with a jet machine, spread 300-gallons of enzymes/lime and reclaimed 800-gallons of spilled sewer from the ditch with a bypass pump back into the manhole.
