The Wheeler Class of ’69 is hosting its 45th Class Reunion & Picnic for all members of Wheeler High classes ’67 through the early 70’s on Oct. 4 at the Riverside Day Use Area at the end of Allatoona Dam Road.

The gathering begins about 11 a.m. at the large pavilion beside the scenic Etowah River until closing about 8 p.m. The event will be catered by Williamson Bros. BBQ with pork, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, sides, tea and lemonade. Bring a dessert and beverages, if so inclined.

The event is not limited to the class of ’69. Any alumni of any 60’s or early 70’s class are welcome. Music of the era will be provided along with volleyball court and horseshoe pits.

The cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple. All proceeds over the actual cost will be donated to the Wheeler Alumni Society Scholarship Fund. Send checks payable to: Wheeler ‘69 to: Steve Tibbitts, 1062 Polo Club Drive, Marietta, 30064, or PayPal your money to: whs69picnic@gmail.com.
