WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut State Police have arrested two men they say tried to being weapons onto planes in separate incidents at Bradley International Airport.

Police say 51-year-old Theodore Low of Douglasville, Georgia, was arrested Wednesday after scanning machines detected two loaded handguns in his checked luggage. He was detained on $10,000 bail on charges of circumventing or failing to comply with airport security measures, carrying a pistol or revolver without a permit and reckless endangerment.

Troopers say 63-year-old Richard Demaio of Lake Alfred, Florida, tried to bring brass knuckles on a plane in a carry-on bag Wednesday. He was held on $2,500 bail on charges of circumventing or failing to comply with airport security and carrying a dangerous weapon.

It's not clear if the men have lawyers.
