ATLANTA (AP) — Police say an Atlanta high school is on lockdown after a report of a student with a gun and that the student is in custody.

Sgt. Greg Lyon said Wednesday that no injuries were reported in the incident at Douglass High School in northwest Atlanta. Atlanta Public Schools spokesman James Malone says "all students, faculty and staff are safe and secure" while the campus is being searched.

Malone says parents have been notified of the situation by email and automated calls.

No other details were immediately available.
