The owner of the Firehouse Subs on North Marietta Parkway said it will be a few more days before his restaurant can reopen after a car slammed into the front entrance.

Marietta police say a black adult female driving a Cadillac Escalade was pulling into a parking space Friday when it appeared she wasn’t able to stop in time and went through the front of the store.

Nobody was injured, and because the incident happened on private property, no charges will be filed, said police spokesman Officer David Baldwin.

Cajun Construction workers were making repairs over the weekend.

The restaurant owner said Sunday he couldn’t disclose the cost of the damages. He hopes the restaurant will open Tuesday, although he said Wednesday may be more likely.
