Brandt Kireta, a graduate of Dominion Christian School in Acworth, has been accepted into the prestigious Leaders Inspired for Tomorrow leadership development program at LaGrange College.

In its second year, the LIFT initiative is comprised of 10 incoming first-year undergraduates who have shown strong leadership and service-oriented skills.

Kireta, son of Brad and Brooke Kireta, was named an all-region football player and offensive player of the year. He also served as a member of his school’s JROTC program, volunteered at elementary schools and worked with his community’s Salvation Army during the holidays.

The LIFT program began Aug. 7 with a four-day, intensive backpacking and rock climbing experience in the mountains of North Carolina. Participants are guided by Outward Bound, the most respected outdoor educator in the world.

Upon their return to the college, the students will be introduced to campus leaders through a distinguished speaker series. They also will take part in service projects on campus and in the community throughout the year.
