The Marietta Business Association will have “Sweet Success … The Making of Local Treats” from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11 at The Mansour Center, 995 Roswell St. NE in Marietta, featuring guest panelists Ted Apron, owner of Sugar Cakes Patisserie; Frank Cole, owner of Frosty Frog Creamery & Café; and Mamie Doyle, owner of Miss Mamie’s Cupcakes, Cakes and Such.

The panel will be moderated by Scott Forester, principal at Forester Consulting. The event, sponsored by Painting by Trees, will be catered by Mother’s Finest and table decor by Petals & Treats.

Cost is $15 for members, no charge for expanded members and $20 for guests. Participants can register online and be eligible for a $50 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory.

There will also be a networking expo from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Travis Duke Room prior to the monthly lunch.
