At about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Acworth police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the Baker Plantation subdivision walking by vehicles and lifting door handles.
Inside the subdivision, officers came across a suspicious vehicle traveling down the road with its headlights turned off. The driver was Chelsea Valderrama, 22, who told officers she was attempting to locate her husband, Alexander Valderrama, 23. The Valderramas were staying at a local motel in Acworth.
Officers discovered Chelsea Valderrama had an active warrant out of Roswell and was taken into custody. A search of her motel room uncovered multiple electronics believed to be stolen, as well as suspected heroin.
Alexander Valderrama was located nearby and found to also have an active warrant for his arrest in Roswell. He was taken into custody and charged with heroin possession.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident to determine the origins of the electronics recovered in the motel room.
