KENNESAW — Police found a dead body in a red pickup truck parked on the side of a road in Kennesaw this afternoon, said Officer Scott Luther, Kennesaw police spokesman.

Luther said police found the body of a man in the passenger seat of the truck parked off Waterside Drive in Kennesaw, which leads to Cobb Parkway, between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

“There were no signs of foul play and no signs of suspicious activity,” Luther said.

The man’s name has not yet been released, and Luther said police are leaning toward “natural causes” as the reason for his death.

“Right now we’re waiting on the medical results,” Luther said.

The man’s body was taken to the state medical examiner, Luther said.
