A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in about 640 gallons discharged into a tributary of Sope Creek, occurred at 8:35 a.m. Thursday at 49 Old Fuller Mill Road in Marietta.

The overflow, which was the result of grease, was stopped at 1:20 p.m. Water system workers flushed 200-feet of the 8-inch sewer main to clear the blockage.
