The City of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department’s 10th annual Program Palooza, a safari-themed open house party, sponsored by WellStar, will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive in Kennesaw.

City staff and instructors will guide participants through all of the new recreation activities to be offered this fall from sports, dance and fitness programs to arts/crafts and adult enrichment classes.

The free event will feature facility tours, activity information stations, interactive demonstrations, a “Lion’s Den” game room and character entertainment, including kid-friendly encounters with members of the animal kingdom. Healthy concessions will be served from the “Snack Shack,” while supplies last.

Participants will also be eligible to receive a 10 percent discount off any program offered by the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department. This offer cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion. The discount only applies to primary registration fees and does not apply to user fees.
