GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) — A fund has been set up to help the families of three Hall County firefighters, who were injured when a ladder fell about 20 feet during a training exercise.

The Times reports that the fund has been established at the Hall County Credit Union.

County Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said their injuries range from bumps and bruises to broken bones.

Firefighter William Griffin was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where hospital officials said he was in fair condition Tuesday evening.

Firefighters T.J. Elliott and Stephen Jackson were flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Information on their conditions was not available.

Cagle has said it was unclear what caused the ladder to malfunction.
