Fortis College will hold its quarterly free Dental Day for Kids from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at its on-campus Dental Hygiene Clinic, 2108 Cobb Parkway SE in Smyrna.

The Fortis College Dental Programs director and dental hygiene/dental assisting faculty and students will provide dental exams, teeth cleanings, fluoride treatments, x-rays, sealants and information on caring for teeth to about 25 children from the local community.

The school is also providing six-month follow-up oral care to children who have previously been to the clinic. The Learning Center Store has been invited to provide craft activities for the children while they await their exams.

While children are being treated, Fortis College EMT and Medical Assisting administrators, faculty and students will take vitals and blood pressure readings for parents, guardians and family members at tables outside the clinic and also provide health tips for treating/preventing diabetes and hypertension.
