Braves stadium a waste

DEAR EDITOR:

Atlanta Braves President John Schuerholz recently said that with $14 million, the Braves could move three natural gas lines under the “82 acres, pristine — with these beautiful trees unbothered by human hands.”

While Schuerholz views that as a wonderful thing, I think it is a shame to use that much money (plus all the other money involved in a new stadium) to cut down trees and develop pristine land instead of putting the money into a very nice, relatively new stadium that already exists in an urban setting in Atlanta, which is where the “Atlanta Braves” belong. What a waste of both natural and human resources.
