A registered nurse and registered dietician will cover topics including signs and symptoms, monitoring, key test results, complication prevention, exercise, medications, a personalized meal plan, carbohydrate counting, label reading, dining out and sick day management. Classes are held in the hospital’s cafeteria.
Cost is $25 per student and one support person without diabetes may join at no charge. Payment can be made by cash or check at the beginning of the class.
