POWDER SPRINGS — The Bullock Hope House in Powder Springs has been approved for membership in the Healthcare Hospitality Network.
The home has been providing no-cost housing since 2005 to patients and their families needing a place to stay while receiving medical treatment. Only one family stays at the home at a time, and there is no time limit to their stay.
The Healthcare Hospitality Network is a nationwide professional association of almost 200 facilities. Becoming a member requires completing a rigorous application process, according to the organization. Once approved, a place such as the Bullock Hope House becomes part of a nationwide database that hospitals and other care facilities can access and recommend to patients.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment for us. We are so happy to be included in this respected network committed to helping people when they need it most. It means we’ll be able to help more families,” said Bullock Hope House founder Connie Bullock.
The Bullock Hope House relies on donations and volunteers to fund its services. For more information, visit bullockhopehouse.org.
