Holsey Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church celebrated their cornerstones and hymnals dedication on May 31.

The Rev. Bobby Simmons of Holy Union Christian Church delivered the message, “The Lord is in your corner.” The Rev. Jerry Woodfork, presiding elder of the 6th Episcopal District, performed the Cornerstone and hymnal dedication.

A silent prayer was held in memory of all members of the Cornerstone of 1940. Hymnals were purchased by members and dedicated in honor or in memory of a person.

The Rev. Ricky Hammond finalized the ceremony by ringing the church’s 100-year-old bell. On June 8, the church celebrated their 113-year church anniversary.
