The Cobb County Water System reported a sewer overflow occurred in the county Wednesday.

A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in approximately 320 gallons discharged into Allatoona Creek, occurred at 2:54 p.m. at 1260 Moorefield Trace in Kennesaw. The overflow, which was listed as the result of gravel, was stopped at 5:30 p.m. This was the second sewer overflow in two days in Kennesaw.

Water System workers used a jet machine to clean the sewer main line and cleand up the spilled area. Sewer water was seen in the creek bed, but no dead animals or fish were observed.
