Cabela’s Incorporated, the world’s foremost outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, will celebrate the official grand opening of its Acworth store on Aug. 21 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Cabela’s executives and special guests.

The event will begin at 10:45 a.m. and conclude with the grand-opening ribbon being cut by an arrow shot from a bow. Doors will open for business at 11 a.m.

Opening day will kick off a weekend-long celebration highlighted by special appearances, family events and giveaways. A complete schedule of events will be available on www.cabelas.com/stores when finalized.

The 100,000-square-foot store is Cabela’s second Georgia location, joining the 42,000-square-foot Cabela’s Outpost that opened in Augusta in March.

The store is located in the Cherokee Village development in the northeast corner of I-75 and Highway 92. Majestic Realty owns and is developing the shopping center.

The store will be built in Cabela’s next-generation layout, designed to surround customers in an outdoor-like experience with museum-quality wildlife displays. In addition to thousands of outdoor products, the store will include a large mountain replica, a Gun Library, Bargain Cave, Boat Shop, Indoor Archery Range, Deli and Fudge Shop.

Currently, Cabela’s operates 58 stores across North America with plans to open an additional 19 over the next two years.
