Philip Francis Lutzenkirchen (June 1, 1991 to June 29, 2014) Philip Francis Lutzenkirchen, devoted son of Michael and Mary (Meier) Lutzenkirchen, and loving brother of Amy, Ann, and Abby Lutzenkirchen, passed away suddenly on June 29, 2014 in Lagrange, Georgia. Philip was born in Winfield, Illinois on June 1, 1991, and lived in Carmel, Indiana before moving with his family to Marietta, Georgia in 1997. Philip most recently lived in Montgomery, Alabama, where he was beginning his career with McDonald, Barranco & Hagen Wealth Management. Philip attended Lassiter High School in Marietta, GA where he was a two-sport athlete in basketball and football.  He was selected to the 2008 AJC All State football team and was named PrepStar All-American.  He went on to play football at Auburn University, where he was a four-year letterman, and started at tight end for the 2010 SEC and National Champion Tigers.  He was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2010, and in 2011 was named to the AP SEC Second Team. He is the all-time (14) and single season (7) leader for touchdown catches by a tight end at Auburn University, including three game-winning catches, with his most notable being the game winner in the Iron Bowl in 2010. While Philip excelled in the athletic arena, he will be remembered most by all whom he touched for his loving and giving heart, his deep faith in Christ, his devotion to his family and friends, and his endless smile.  Philip lit up every room he entered, and his friendship was deep, loyal, and loving.  Many got to know him through athletics, but will remember him as their dear friend that happened to play football. Philip is survived by his large and loving family, including his parents Mary (Meier) and Mike Lutzenkirchen of Marietta, his sisters Amy, Ann, and Abby.  He is also survived by his grandparents, Howard and Phyllis Skolak, Aurora, Illinois, and William Lutzenkirchen, Davis, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald Meier and Judy Lutzenkirchen.  He also is survived by Maureen (Tom) Cain; Meggan (Ryan) Graika, Olivia and Lillian Graika; Matthew Cain; Ellyn Lutzenkirchen,  Adam Van Dyke; Andy (Beckie) Lutzenkirchen, Gabriella and Allison Lutzenkirchen; Rose (Don) Tschannen, Eric, Tyler and Austin Tschannen; Jeff (Julie) Skolak, Jacob Skolak; Joyce (John) Munson, Vickie and Kelly Munson; Gerry Meier, Barry (Liane) Skolak, Joseph and Lauren Skolak; Terry (Cindy) Meier, Matthew, Patrick, Melanie, and Natalie Meier, Kathryn Meier (Patricia Taliaferro).
