Kennesaw’s salute to America will be July 3

The City of Kennesaw will have its Salute to America, a free, pre-Independence Day celebration to freedom, music and fireworks on July 3 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Kennesaw Depot, 2828 Cherokee Street in Kennesaw.

Stayin’ Alive, a Bee Gees tribute band, and Satisfaction, an internationally acclaimed Rolling Stones tribute band, will perform at 6 p.m. and be followed by a Star-Spangled Fireworks spectacular at 9:30 p.m. Additional attractions, inflatables, food and and business vendors will be along Main Street. Radio Disney AM 590 will also be providing interactive family entertainment, prizes and giveaways.

Premium seating is available. A table with six chairs can be reserved for $75. All other seating is general admission. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or comfortable low-back chair. Shade umbrellas, canopies or any other obstruction limiting the views of spectators are prohibited.

The event may be canceled or postponed due to inclement weather conditions.

This is funny... Kennesaw should celebrate Bobby Lee's birthday, Confederate Memorial day, etc., and not the uSofA's independence which it did not play a part in (go to Kettle creek for Georgia's busting the brits party in that war!)

No, Kennesaw is famous for pissing off Sherman's morons - stopped the yankers cold, for when the cowards couldn't take the mountain, they went around it and were so enraged they burnt Atlanta to the ground... BUT, not before it could be effectively evacuated - thanks to the CSA at Kennesaw holding the jerks back long enough ;-)
