The Cobb County Daylily Society and the Greater Atlanta Daylily Society presented a Daylily Show on Saturday at the Galleria Mall. There were 324 daylilies on display, which were brought by 36 members of the two clubs. Fifteen Daylily judges decided upon the winning daylily entries.

Bill Waldrop had a winning entry for his new seedling, which he says he intends to call, Dental Delight. The seedling has plenty of “white teeth” on the edge of the petals. Waldrop said these white teeth make him think of someone being examined in a dentist’s chair and then being told by the dentist there is “no need for any dental repair.”

The show chairman was Cynthia Rigsby, from the Cobb County Club, and the Show Chairman for the next show will be Patty Franklin, from the Atlanta Club.
