TruGreen’s Austell branch announced June 19 it plans to donate $2,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The donation will help support the St. Jude mission of finding cures and saving the lives of children battling cancer, sickle cell and other deadly diseases.

The donation is given as part of a quarterly performance contest at TruGreen. Winning branches were given the opportunity to donate $2,000 to a charity chosen by branch associates for achieving above-the-bar results.  Six other TruGreen branches also selected St. Jude — Long Island, N.Y.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Dayton, Ohio; San Antonio, Texas; Midland, Texas; and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

“At TruGreen, we feel it is our responsibility as good citizens to give back to those in need when we can,” said Aaron Gutzdorf, general manager of TruGreen’s Austell branch.  “We are honored to be donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where we know that our support is helping to find cures and save lives. It is even more special to us since St. Jude and our TruGreen headquarters share the same home in Memphis, Tenn.”
