Junius Ernest “Buddy” Frazier, Jr., 83, of East Cobb, passed away June 13, 2014, at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mickey Addison Frazier and his daughters LaRue F. Puglisi (Tony) of Virginia Beach, VA and Marty F. Esoda (Mark) of Marietta and his five grandchildren: Alan Puglisi, Jessika Puglisi, Jackson Esoda, Addison Esoda and Parker Esoda. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.E. Frazier, Sr. and Martha P. Frazier. At 17 Buddy enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a paratrooper. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated from Georgia State University. He and Mickey attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, graduating in 1968. Buddy served as pastor in Caney, Oklahoma while attending Seminary, First Baptist Church of McDonough, Mercedes Baptist Church of Albany and was co-founder of McDonough Christian Academy. As founder and president of Christian Family Resources, Inc., he faithfully served God ministering to people in crisis and authored “Experiencing Life More Abundantly”. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 2 pm in the chapel of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Rd., Marietta. There will be a reception at the church following the service.
