Cumberland-based Numerex announced on Thursday Uplink Security’s “Installer App” has received M2M Evolution Magazine’s 2014 M2M Evolution Product of the Year Award. This new App simplifies the installation, activation and verification of alarm communication devices.

The solution increases the accuracy of data entry for device set-up and reduces activation time. Uplink dealers and installers who use this new app operate more efficiently and effectively. The new app was designed, built and powered by Numerex, a provider of on-demand and interactive machine-to-machine enterprise solutions enabling the Internet of Things.

Available for Android and iOS, the Uplink Installer App enables technicians to wirelessly activate devices and check signal strength of Uplink’s alarm panel solutions.

Uplink Installer’s unique scan-and-go barcode scanning feature automatically reads a device’s serial number, thus eliminating manual data-entry errors while streamlining the installation process.

The app reduces installation time by more than 10 minutes per customer by automating many installation and activation tasks.

As a result, Uplink dealers and installers now can operate more efficiently, more effectively, and have greater flexibility in responding quickly to customers.

The winners of the 2014 M2M Evolution Product of the Year Award will be published in the third quarter edition of M2M Evolution Magazine and on www.m2mevolution.com. For more information, visit www.tmcnet.com or www.uplink.com.
