Billy F. McIntosh, 83, of Acworth, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, with his loving wife, Elizabeth, of 61 years by his side. Billy served more than thirty years in the banking industry, eventually becoming Vice President for several notable local banks. Billy lived a life of service as he was named Smyrna Kiwanian of the year in 1982, served as president of Perry Parham Bronco League Park in 1968, past Booster Club President of R.L. Osborne Jr. High School and had been an active supporter of Calvary Children’s Home, as well as many other worthwhile causes. While he served in many roles, his greatest service was to his Lord and Savior. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, five children, fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was a respected patriarch of his family. Billy was a good Christian man who will be missed. All who knew him loved him. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 12, from 5-9 p.m. at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924, with funeral services at his home church of Piney Grove Baptist Church on Mars Hill Road in Acworth on Friday at 2 p.m.
