Travis Lee Roberts, Jr., 39 of Marietta, died June 7, 2014. Travis was a Georgia boy. He was born and raised in Marietta, GA, only leaving Cobb County to attend college at the University of Georgia. He met Carrie, the love of his life, at the age of 17, while attending Eastside Baptist Church. They were married in April of 2000. In 2002 Travis had $300 to his name and a vision to build a thriving company in his home town. That business, Hemma Concrete, is now a multimillion dollar a year enterprise that is headquartered in Cobb County. On September 29, 2007, Travis and Carrie welcomed their first child into the world Travis “Trey” Lee Roberts, III. Piper Brooke Roberts followed on August 24, 2009, and their youngest Jake Erikson Roberts was born on May 26, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Roberts; children, Travis Lee Roberts, III, Piper Brooke Roberts, Jake Erikson Roberts; father, Travis Lee Roberts, Sr. (Cindy); mother, Joanne Roberts; and sisters, Faith Roberts and Rhonda Howe. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cancer Kicks, a charity set up in his honor, by visiting www.cancerkicks.org. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. Travis requested that there be no black at his funeral. He was known for his vibrance in life, which he expressed through his attire. To honor his requests, please dress with the pizazz that you know he would appreciate.
