Living Hope plans puppet camp, weird animals

Living Hope Church in Kennesaw will present a summer kids’ event titled Weird Animals from June 9 to 13.

Weird Animals is available for children ages 3 through fifth-grade. A free family dinner begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Children participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, eat treats, experience Bible adventures and make take-home crafts. Children at Weird Animals will join an international effort to help children in India receive clean water.

A summer kids’ event called Puppet Camp will be conducted at the Living Hope School of Fine Arts from June 2 to 5 for children entering fifth through eighth grades. The camp is from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday. Thursday events include a morning performance by those attending Puppet Camp for children attending the Living Hope and Open Arms’ Camp Kudzu, as well as a cook-out. There will be a special evening puppet performance for the community at 7 p.m. on June 5. Puppet Camp, led by instructor Sandra Croft, will focus on learning puppet techniques and performance.
