Missouri college names scholar athletes

Seven Culver-Stockton College baseball players have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for their performance in the classroom this season. Edikson Zaro, of Powder Springs was one of those players named to the list.

Zaro, an infielder, is a sport management major who appeared in 36 games this season, making seven starts. He scored 18 runs, had one walk, one sacrifice and two runs batted in this season.

Two hundred fifty-seven baseball players were recipients of the NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete honor. Student-athletes must have a junior or senior academic standing and maintain a minimum cumulative grade- point-average of 3.50. Transfer student-athletes must attend the nominating institution for one full year before being eligible.
