The Cobb County Water System reported a sewer overflow occurred in Marietta on Tuesday.

A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in 800 gallons discharged into a tributary of Sewell Mill Creek, occurred at 8:21 a.m. Tuesday at 1832 King Arthurs Court NE in Marietta. The overflow, which was the result of a structural problem, was stopped at 10:40 a.m.

Workers set up a bypass with a pump and hoses until the pipe was dug and repaired.
