The position requires applicants to live in the City of Marietta.
A term on the committee is two years and its purpose is to review complaints from members of the City Council to decide if there is enough evidence to determine the member violated the code of ethics.
The committee is made up of three people. The open position has as to be appointed by the City Council, the second spot is appointed by the mayor and the third is named by the first two members and is subject to approval by the City Council. The committee’s two current members are Arthur Vaughn and Lorette Mitchel.
