Investigators say Quinton Wilson of Atlanta and Christopher Andrews of Marietta teamed up to steal from the store between April and early May.
According to arrest warrants, Wilson performed surveillance inside the shop before the incident occurred. Police say security tapes show him exiting the Dollar General off Powder Springs Road and climbing into a red van, which he then parked near the store’s entrance while Andrews hopped out and headed inside.
Police say Andrews wore a black hooded sweatshirt and a bandana to cover his face when he pulled out a black BB gun made to look like a Glock and demanded $500 from employees at the business. Arrest warrants indicate fearing the weapon was real, one of the victims inside the store had to be transported to the hospital due to trauma from the incident. Investigators say Wilson drove the van away while the robbery was in progress and Andrews fled the scene on foot.
Wilson has been charged with armed robbery. Andrews has been charged with armed robbery and three counts of aggravated assault.
