Police say the second of two suspects accused in a Marietta murder was taken into custody Tuesday in Flint, Mich.

At about 4 a.m. on March 18, police say 33-year-old Gharri Nicholas Lawson arrived at a house off Elberta Drive, near Canton Road, and fell asleep on the couch.

The occupants of the house told authorities they could not wake Lawson when they attempted to rouse him later that afternoon.

According to a spokesman for Cobb police, detectives later determined Terry Louis Thomas, 36, and Danielle Matzkow Darby, 43, gave the victim drugs in order to steal a gold chain and gold pendant from him.

Police charged both Thomas and Darby with murder and distribution of drugs.

Darby was arrested April 11 and remains in the Cobb County jail. Genessee County, Mich., police confirm Thomas is in custody there.

Police are continuing to investigate Lawson’s death. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call (770) 499-3945.
