Florence B. Snyder, age 90, of Powder Springs, passed away May 31, 2014. Memorial Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2111 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta with Rev. Carl Schneider and Vicar Thomas “Tom” Boeck officiating. Inurnment will be held at 12 noon on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Mrs. Snyder was a native of Newark, NJ and moved to the Marietta, GA area on July 4, 1960 having lived in New Jersey, California, Brazil, Florida and then Georgia. Mrs. Snyder was a former secretary to the Station Manager at Eastern Airlines and a former dental assistant at the Cobb County Health Dept. She was a United States veteran of the Coast Guard and was a Yeoman 2nd Class. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn L. Snyder in 1999. She is survived by her husband: Louis Snyder and children: Louis Snyder of Marietta, David Snyder of Dallas and Drusilla Reid of Powder Springs; daughter-in-law, Mary Snyder of Suffolk, VA; 2 brothers, Joseph Blume of Bloomfield, NJ, Robert Blume of Montague, NJ; 9 grandchildren: Daniel Reid, Hannah Choe (Jang), Seth Snyder (Jane Nguyen), John Snyder, Joseph Snyder, Kathleen Snyder, Kayla Snyder, Emily Snyder and Sallie Snyder.
