Harbin Clinic opened a cardiology office at Suite 1200 of the Governor’s Pavillion at 4450 Calibre Crossing NW in Acworth on April 18.

Harbin Clinic Interventional Cardiologist Maxwell A. Prempeh, MD, FACC, is the clinic’s lead physician for the Acworth office. Dr. Prempeh, board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology, specializes in using state-of-the-art tests and minimally invasive procedures to successfully diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease.

Prempeh joined Harbin Clinic in 2010 with the opening of the cardiology office in Cartersville. In January 2011, he performed the first cardiac intervention in Bartow County at Cartersville Medical Center. During the procedure, a stent was placed in a blood vessel, restoring normal blood flow to the heart and possibly preventing a future heart attack.

He received his medical degree from Duke University, where he also served his internal medicine residency. He completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

Harbin Clinic is Georgia’s largest physician-owned, multi-specialty clinic with more than 220 providers in 17 locations throughout Northwest Georgia across more than 30 specialties. The Harbin Clinic Cardiology is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information or consultation requests, call (770) 606-8359 or visit www.harbinclinic.com.
