Charles Frederick Creasy, 84, an Atlanta native, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at WellStar Cobb Tranquility Hospice in Austell, GA. Fred, youngest of Arve B. and Clara Creasy’s seven children, was born at home on August 13, 1929. He worked at Jacob’s Pharmacy in his youth. After graduation from North Fulton High School in 1949, he secured a job as a route salesman for Instantwhip Atlanta Inc., a position he held for more than 42 years. From 1997 to 2010, he and Mary lived in Ormond Beach, FL, where he enjoyed volunteering for the Volusia County Sheriff’s Department and Ormond Beach Police. His service in the USMC from 1952 to 1954 became increasingly significant in recent years; he was touched each time someone thanked him for his service. Inurnment with military honors at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA, will be private. Friends are invited to a luncheon with the Creasy family at Marietta First Church of the Nazarene, 4341 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA 30064, at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, June 6. Predeceased by his first wife of 16 years, Sara Shipman Creasy, Fred is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Stanistreet Creasy; son, Scott (Doris) Creasy; daughter, Donna (Shep) Tuller; grandchildren, Valorie Creasy and Julie (Russ) Davis; great-grandchild, Jacob Davis; brother, J. W. (Evelyn) Creasy, Sr.; sister-in-law, Cathryn H. Creasy; sister-in-law, Martha S. Sanford; family friend, Benita Bullion; and many other relatives and friends.
