BlueLinx announces property sale

Marietta-based BlueLinx Holdings Inc. announced the sale of a distribution facility it previously closed in 2013 located in Portland, Ore. The 109,100-square-foot distribution center sold for $7.2 million and the sale continues the company’s emphasis on closely managing and reducing its outstanding debt obligations. The company expects to record a gain of about $4.9 million related to this transaction in the second quarter of 2014 as a reduction of operating expense.

through its wholly-owned subsidiary BlueLinx Corporation, is a leading distributor of building products in North America. Employing more than 1,700

people, BlueLinx offers upwards of 10,000 products from more than 750 suppliers to service about 11,500 customers nationwide, including dealers, industrial manufacturers, manufactured housing producers and home improvement retailers. The company operates its distribution business from sales centers in Marietta and Denver, and its network of 50 distribution centers.
