fred’s Super Dollar, which has a store at 3701 Austell Road in Marietta, announced donations from customers in a campaign from Feb. 25 to April 20 raised $737,655 for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Shoppers were offered a chance to purchase paper Miracle Balloons for $1 each at any store location. All the proceeds from the sale benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital closest to the fred’s Super Dollar location where the balloon was purchased. As an added incentive, customers who purchased a Miracle Balloon were rewarded with a coupon for $1 off the purchase of two bags of Mars candy.

The organization assists 170 children’s hospitals providing special care to injured and sick children in communities across North America.
