Burnt Hickory Road Bridge:

Burnt Hickory Road is closed to through traffic until July 28 between Ernest Barrett Parkway and Due West Road.  Actual location of closure is Burnt Hickory Road over Mud Creek

Burnt Hickory Road Bridge Detour:

Westbound: Travel south on Barrett Parkway to Dallas Highway. Turn right onto Dallas Highway.  Continue on Dallas Highway until Due West Road. Turn right onto Due West Road.  Continue north until Burnt Hickory Road. Eastbound: Travel south on Due West Road to Dallas Highway. Turn left onto Dallas Highway. Continue on Dallas Highway until Barrett Parkway. Turn left onto Barrett Parkway. Continue north until Burnt Hickory Road. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day, Monday, May 26

Burnt Hickory Road (Burnt Hickory at Tarpley Road): Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, the contractor will continue bridge removal.

Old Stilesboro Road Bridge:

Old Stilesboro Road will be closed to through traffic beginning mid-June through October between County Line Road and Cheatham Road. Actual location of closure is Old Stilesboro Road over Little Allatoona Creek to replace bridge. Closure dates are subject to change

Old Stilesboro Road Bridge Detour:

Westbound: Travel south on County Line Road until Pitner Road. Turn right on Pitner Road. Stay on Pitner Road until Cheatham Road. Turn right on Cheatham Road. Continue north until Old Stilesboro Road. Eastbound: Travel south on Cheatham Road to Pitner Road. Turn Left on Pitner Road. Continue on Pitner Road until County Line Road. Turn Left on County Line Road.  Continue north until Old Stilesboro Road

Bob Cox Road Sidewalk:

The project consists of constructing a new sidewalk between the existing sidewalk to improve safety and pedestrian access. The limits of the project are from the existing sidewalk near Ivy Manor Drive to the existing sidewalk near Granville Drive.

Cobb Parkway at Mars Hill Road:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day, Monday, May 26

Cobb Parkway at Mars Hill Rd Intersection:

Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at this intersection while the contractor performs Concrete work and median work (Southbound on US41).  EXPECT DELAYS

Dallas Highway Streetscapes Phase 1:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day,, Monday, May 26. Casteel Road/Old Hamilton Road to Villa Rica Way: Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Contractor will be maintaining erosion control, continuing wall construction, signal work and laying storm drain pipe.  EXPECT DELAYS

Nance Road Bridge over Butler Creek:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day,, Monday, May 26. Cobblestone Golf Course to Old Highway 41: Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. while the contractor continues grading operations and placing rock embankment. Utilities will be relocating services.  EXPECT DELAYS

Powder Springs Road at Cheatham Hill Road/Callaway Road:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day,, Monday, May 26. Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, the contractor will begin heavy grading and storm drain work next week. Utilities will be relocating services. Periodic lane closures are anticipated next week.  EXPECT DELAYS

Skip Spann Connector (Busbee-Frey Connector):

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day,, Monday, May 26. Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, the contractor will be pouring curb & gutter and placing GAB on Frey Road.  Periodic lane closures on Frey Road between Chastain Road and Campus Loop Road are anticipated next week.  EXPECT DELAYS

Silver Comet Trail:

Resurfacing will begin June 2 and will run through August 29. All sections of the trail will be open during the weekends. Please visit website for information about the upcoming resurfacing of the Silver Comet Trail scheduled for this summer.

Road Resurfacing:

Asphalt paving operations are scheduled for Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30 on the following roads: EXPECT DELAYS

Antioch Road between Paulding County Line and Due West Road. The above scheduled work is subject to change due to weather or construction progress

District 2 Construction Update from May 24-30

Old Sewell Road Sidewalk:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day,, Monday, May 26.

Holt Road to Old Canton Road: Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open while the contractor completes storm drainage installation, sidewalk, curb and gutter, completes dressing, grassing and cleanup. EXPECT DELAYS

Concord Road — City of Smyrna:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. South Cobb Drive to Atlanta Road: Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open in each direction at all times. The Evelyn Street intersection with Concord Road has been permanently closed

Roswell Road (SR120) — GDOT

The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day, Monday, May 26.

Providence Road to Robinson Road: No activities planned this weekend or next week that will impact traffic

Akers Mill Trail East — Cumberland CID:

Akers Mill Road Eastbound traffic has been reduced from 3 lanes to 2 lanes east of Powers Ferry Road at the Akers Mill Intersection. This traffic shift will be in place until approximately mid June.  EXPECT DELAYS

Silver Comet Trail:

Shiloh Road/Shallowford Road:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day,, Monday, May 26. Shiloh/Shallowford Road from Wade Green Road to Canton Road: Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open while the contractor continues grading operations, curb/gutter, and traffic signal work. Utilities will be relocating services. All construction activities performed will be between Wooten Lake and the Noonday Creek Bridge.  EXPECT DELAYS

Roswell Road (SR120) - GDOT

The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day,, Monday, May 26.

Stout Parkway is closed to through traffic until July 28 between Holloman Road and Brown Road.  Actual location of closure is at Bridge over Gothards Creek.

Stout Parkway Bridge Detour. Westbound: Turn right onto Holloman Road from Stout Parkway. Turn left onto Hiram Lithia Springs Road from Holloman Road.  Turn left onto Brown Road from Hiram Lithia Springs Road.  Continue on Brown Road until reaching Stout Parkway Eastbound: Turn left onto Brown Road from Stout Parkway. Turn right onto Hiram Lithia Springs Road from Brown Road. Turn right onto Holloman Road from Hiram Lithia Springs Road. Continue on Holloman Road until reaching Stout Parkway

Stout Parkway (Holloman Road and Brown Road):

Monday, May 26 through Friday, May 30, the contractor will continue bridge removal and begin new bridge construction

Queen Mill Road Detour:

Queen Mill Road will be closed to through traffic beginning June 2 through July 14 between Ivey Road and Queen Meadow Drive for construction of a box culvert. From Mableton on Mableton Parkway: Northbound Queen Mill: Travel east on Mableton Parkway/SR 139 to Discovery Boulevard. Turn left on Discovery Boulevard. Stay on Discovery Boulevard until Veterans Memorial Highway/SR 8. Turn left on Veterans Memorial Highway/SR 8. Continue west until Queen Mill Road. From Mableton on Veterans Memorial Parkway: Southbound Queen Mill: Continue straight (east) on Veterans Memorial Highway/SR 8 to Discovery Boulevard. Turn right onto Discovery Boulevard from Veterans Memorial Highway/SR 8.  urn right onto Mableton Parkway/SR 139 from Discovery Boulevard. Continue on Mableton Parkway/SR 139 until reaching Queen Mill Road. From Atlanta/Fulton Industrial Blvd on Mableton Parkway: Northbound Queen Mill:  Turn right onto Discovery Boulevard from Mableton Parkway/SR 139. Turn left onto Veterans Memorial Highway/SR 8 from Discovery Boulevard.  Continue on Veterans Memorial Highway/SR 8 until reaching Queen Mill Road. From Atlanta/I-285 on Veterans Memorial Highway: Southbound Queen Mill: Turn left onto Discovery Boulevard from Veterans Memorial Highway/SR 8. Turn right onto Mableton Parkway/SR 139 from Discovery Boulevard. Continue on Mableton Parkway/SR 139 until reaching Queen Mill Road

Floyd Road:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Clay Road to Hicks Road : Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open while the contractor continues pouring sidewalk and curb & gutter, placing stamped concrete in median, and dressing shoulders. EXPECT DELAYS

Queen Mill Road:

The contractor is not planning to work this weekend. The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Veterans Memorial Highway to Mableton Parkway: Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open while the contractor continues laying storm drain pipe, and constructing shoulders and slopes. Utility companies will be relocating services. EXPECT DELAYS

The contractor is not planning to work Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. South Gordon Road to Wallace Park: Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, May 30, expect periodic lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with one lane remaining open while contractor continues laying storm drain pipe and utilities continue relocating services. EXPECT DELAYS

Six Flags Parkway at Lee Industrial Boulevard:

This project will consist of the addition of left turn lanes and a new traffic signal at the intersection of Six Flags Parkway and Lee Industrial Boulevard. It will also include widening Six Flags Drive at Lee Industrial Boulevard to a three lane section with curb and gutter including a five-foot wide sidewalk on both sides, from just west of the intersection of Six Flags Parkway and Lee Industrial Boulevard to approximately 1,200 feet to the east of the same intersection. The total project length is 0.33 miles
